REGISTRATION

Can those other former SSS students and teachers sign up?

Absolutely - the more the merrier!

Will I be able to register the week of the Reunion?

You can try but we can’t promise there will be any packages left. Registration is first come,

first served.

Is there any advantage in getting a two-day pass?

SSS Reunion swag, baby, swag.... PLUS you get a beautiful Reunion Booklet AND it's a $20

saving over two single-day passes – a $100 value for only $80!

What if I plan to come to Reunion for only one of the two days?

You should still register right away! The cost is $60 for Saturday (includes lots of fun

activities in the afternoon and the Big Dance at the Radisson on Saturday night) or $40 for

Sunday (includes the Variety Show, the tribute to Joe Drago and the closing social).

What if I live in Sudbury and really prefer not registering online? Can I come to the school to

snag a spot?

We prefer you register using the online Paypal registration process, but if necessary, you

can come to the main office between 9 am and 3 pm on a school day to fill out a paper

form. You must pay by cash or cheque - the school cannot process debit/credit cards.

ACTIVITIES

Will food be provided?

Concessions will be available for sale during the day on Saturday and Sunday, and food will

be served at the Radisson Dance as well as the Closing Social after Sunday’s Variety Show.

(…and both events will have a cash bar!)

Where can I park? Is parking free?

There are lots of free parking spots in the new parking lot at the school. You may wish to

park there and walk to the Radisson on Saturday night as well. Parking is free at night at

the Radisson, however. Go up the ramp and park on level one or two.

I hear the MacKenzie St. entrance isn't the main entrance anymore. How do I enter the school?

The main entrance is in the newest part of the building facing College St. The registration

desk will be straight ahead in the main hallway. You’ll receive a map of the building in your

registration package to help you find your way around the building.

Is the school accessible? Yes, there is an elevator that can take you to the other floors.

Yes, the school is fully wheelchair accessible.

What's going on at the school during the day on Saturday?

It's all fun stuff! There's a scavenger hunt, tours of the school, and “audience participation”

gatherings of your choice: Reunion Choir, Colossal Concert Band, Drama Games, Jazz Dance

Class...and a fabulous Art Exhibit featuring grads' artworks. You can be involved in as many

of these activities as you like – check the schedule on the website for starting times.

I'm thinking of bringing my kids - are there any events or activities appropriate for children or

teenagers? Do they have to pay full price?

Saturday: Children and youth may participate in any of the day-time activities for free:

a) The Scavenger Hunt - a self-guided school tour that parents and kids can do together

b) Choir/Band practice, Drama games, Dance class: Children/youth may observe their

parents participation in these afternoon events. All of these activities will be held on

the 2nd floor of the new Arts wing.

*The 80’s Dance at the Radisson on Saturday night is a licensed event appropriate for adults

only – tickets are required to attend that event.

Sunday: Single tickets for the Variety Show ($25 for adults - $15 for children/youth) will be

available after the April 15th registration deadline (unless we’re sold out by then).

What if I come and I don't see anyone I know???

The odds of that are pretty slim – you’re bound to run into former friends and teachers at

most of the events! Get hold of your friends now and register together.

What is the theme of the dance on Saturday night? Is the dance formal attire?

For “Dancing under the North Stars: 80’s Style!” we encourage you to dress in something

that you might have worn in the 1980s - we’re talking big hair, fanny packs, velour, spandex,

acid-washed or ripped jeans, legwarmers, headbands, scrunchies and big earrings. Dig out

that Performing Arts t-shirt that you haven’t worn since graduation (if you can find it)!

*Dressing up is optional – it’s you we want to see, no matter what you’re wearing!

Is it a DJ Dance at the Radisson Saturday Night?

Are you kidding? We have a live band featuring SSS grads and they will rock the house!

Should I stay overnight at the Radisson?

If you book a room, tell them you want the special SSS Reunion rate of $109 + tax.

VARIETY SHOW

I heard that Mr. Drago will be honoured at the Reunion – is he going to be there?

Yes, he’ll be at the Variety Show on Sunday afternoon – but you’ll have to show up to find

out what we have in store for him!

If I want to perform in the Grad Variety Show on Sunday afternoon, how do I sign up?

After you complete your registration form on the Reunion website, you will be given the

option of filling out a Variety Show application form (or you can fill out a paper form at the

school if necessary). We'll get back to you soon after the April 25th deadline.

*We strongly encourage group numbers – if everyone signs up for a solo, the show will run

into the wee hours of Monday morning!!

I see there's a Colossal Choir practice on Saturday. Will that group be in the Variety Show?

The Choir and the Concert Band will be in the show (both groups are open to alumni and

current students). Fill out the application form when you register, and indicate that you

plan to attend the choir and/or band rehearsal - we'll share more details after April 25th.

NOTE: You can participate in the rehearsals and not be in the show if you wish - your choice.

I'd like to play in the Concert Band, but I don't have my own instrument. Can I borrow one for

the weekend? Some instruments will be available on the reunion weekend. Please email ahead to ensure an instrument is available for you.
